Delta United 99 Diamonds

The Delta Diamonds finished first in their division at the 2012 Heritage Harvest Cup on October 27th & 28th. The weekend started with a 4-1 victory over the Piedmont Highlanders followed by a disappointing loss to the Petaluma United Tide. Saturday’s finish allowed the Diamonds to play in a semi-final game on Sunday morning against the first place team from the other bracket which resulted in a 1-0 victory for the Diamonds over the Heritage Clash. The Diamonds earned the opportunity they were hoping for with a spot in Sunday’s division final against Dublin United Magic. The game was played under the lights at Diablo Valley College and after 60 hard fought minutes of soccer, the Delta United Diamonds prevailed with a 1-0 victory over Dublin and their first tournament title in 2012.
